High of 97 Degrees in New York City

We’re slated for a high of 97 degrees today.  I think it’s perfectly justifiable in such horrid conditions for me to take an air-conditioned taxi home instead of waiting in the Amazon-like subway station to get on a crowded train, isn’t it?  I hopped on the 1 train on the way in, but there hadn’t been a whole day of festering going on yet.
